AV Ghost - The Story Of The Brand

AV Ghost - The Story Of The Brand

I have been always somewhat interested in clothing. I don't really like browsing clothes or buying new ones every month at all, but creating clothing with my own designs is much more interesting and a good way to use my creations.

Firstly the logo and how the idea formed. I like a lot about this one code based animation that I created, and the first frame of it. Very simple, but after a little searching it seemed to be way too close on some other logos. Also I wanted the name of the brand and logo to include me somehow, but not the way like "Asmo Turunen Clothing".

The first frame, the first idea for the logo.

I combined the two triangles and formed a box, then I created the arrow in the middle based on my ATCV logo (Asmo Turunen Creative Visuals). In my ATCV logo, there are three triangles and the leftover bar. Two triangles forms the box, third triangle makes the head of the arrow and the leftover bar creates the rest of the arrow.

AV. Two triangles forms the box, third triangle makes the arrows’ head, leftover bar creates rest of the arrow.

ATCV logo. Three triangles and the leftover bar at the bottom.

Now I have the letters A and V, the first letters of my first and second name. A and V, the first and last letters of ATCV. A nice box, which contains my name, the thing I really like to do and from where all this starts and if you flip the box and the arrow up, it forms a building, a house, a home.

The ghost is from an artwork that I created digitally a few years ago, named "Honey.be.e Like A Ghost". I have always liked it and wanted to use it more in some way. This is the perfect opportunity. But why AV Ghost? It doesn't make any sense! This may be a little bit hard to explain but I try my best.

GHOST

The Ghost. Look how happy this little thing is! The Ghost may hold secret.

I'm Finnish. When we Finns do say only the letter A, it goes like "aa", and when we say only the letter V, it goes like "vee". So AV goes like "aavee" which is pretty close to "aave". The word "aave" is Finnish and it means a ghost. AV Ghost is like a ghost in Finnish and a ghost in English, AV contains the idea of this whole thing and the ghost is from an very important artwork that I created. All is packed in a box, which contains a figure of a home, the whole package. And it is a pretty damn good package if you ask me!

You can browse the clothing, prints, caps and beanies via the shop section. Stay tuned for more designs, more products, more everything!

Thanks for reading! All feedback is welcome, hope you enjoyed the story. Have a great day!
